On July 17, 1958, groundbreaking ceremonies occurred for a new State Police Academy to be built on a 28 acre hilltop east of the Hotel Hershey. On March 2, 1960, personnel occupied the new quarters with a formal dedication ceremony held on June 13, 1960.
Over the past 60+ years, 163 Cadet classes have graduated from the Academy. However, the current building will soon become a distant memory with the construction of a modern, state of the art training facility.
To commemorate the passing of this iconic landmark, the Museum has created this challenge coin featuring the Academy.
