Brief history of the Bell 47:
On October 15, 1968, the PSP Aviation Division was formed consisting of 2 Bell Model 47G4A helicopters, 6 pilots, and 4 mechanic/observers (all enlisted).
On January 17, 1974, it had its first fatal crash when Tpr. Ross Snowden and a civilian Reading Airport manager were killed.
